Important dates:

 – Abstract submission: November 1st to December 31st, 2018 January  31st, 2019 – CLOSED
 – Acceptance notification: February 1st to 28th – CLOSED

 – Early bird registration: February 1st to March 31st April 15th – CLOSED
 – Normal registration: April 16th to May 31st – CLOSED

 – Late / on site registration*: June 1st to July 1st – CLOSED

 – Conference days: July 1st to 4th

Registration fees for CIBIA 2019 can be found in the table below. Registration fee covers:


  • Welcome reception
  • Conference participation

  • Participant bag w/ official documentation
  • Lunch and coffee-breaks on all conference days


Conference dinner (50 EUR) is not included and must be paid addicionally.

  • * A proof of 2019 membership is needed.
  • ** A proof of student status is required for undergraduate, Master and Ph.D. students registering under this category. Please provide a declaration from your supervisor stating that you are a student. If you are a working student, this last condition prevails when registering.


Accompanying person fee is 100 EUR and covers:

  • Welcome reception
  • Lunch and coffee-breaks on all conference days



Conditions and Cancellation Policy:

 – If after registering you are unable to attend the Conference, you may transfer your registration to another person.

 – If you are unable to transfer your registration to another person, you may request a refund of the registration fee. Please send us an email (cibia2019 AT ualg.pt).

 – If you cancel your registration and submit your request for a refund earlier than May 31st, 2019, you will be refunded 100% minus costs of refunding (20 EUR).

 – No refund will be possible after May, 31st.

 – No exception will be made to the cancellation/refund policy for registrants unable to obtain a travel Visa.

 – No exception will be made to the cancellation/refund policy for registrants due to travel related issues, natural disasters, or other unexpected events.

In case you need an invitation letter for the visa formalities, please contact the Conference Secretariat (cibia2019 AT ualg.pt) mentioning:

 – Name

 – Passport number

 – Date of passport validity

 – Birth date

 – Other information to be included in the invitation letter for the visa formalities


Please note that the Conference Secretariat will only send the invitation letter if you have your registration fully paid.
